The CMC 356 is the universal solution for testing all generations and types of protection relays. Its powerful six current sources (three-phase mode: up to 64 A / 860 VA per channel) with a great dynamic range, make the unit capable of testing even high-burden electromechanical relays with very high power demands.
Electrical tests on transformers, current transformers, voltage transformers, grounding systems, lines and cables, and circuit breakers can be performed with the CPC 100. The patented test system replaces several individual testing devices and offers new, innovative testing methods. The CPC 100 is the base for multiple accessories. These facilitate further applications, such as tan delta measurements, as well as line and ground impedance measurements.
The CT Analyser automatically determines all relevant current transformer values and compares the results with the selected standard. The device evaluates the current transformer as per the IEC or IEEE standard within seconds with the push of a button. It facilitates fast and economical on-site testing and calibration of metering and protection current transformers. Manufacturers of current transformers, high voltage transformers and switchgear also use the CT Analyser for tests during development and production. The CT SB2 switch box is available as an accessory to the CT Analyser for automated testing of current transformers with multiple taps, without the need for complex and time-consuming rewiring.
Combined with the CPC 100, the CP TD1 measures the capacitance and dissipation factor (power factor) with laboratory precision. This allows the insulation condition of transformers, generators and other parts of high-voltage systems to be tested according to IEEE 62 (C57.152), IEC 60076-1 and -3, as well as the CIGRE “Guide for Transformer Maintenance”. As recommended in the CIGRE Guide, testing is performed at variable frequencies to better diagnose signs of ageing in insulation. The portable test system (max. 29 kg per component) can also generate output voltages of up to 12 k
FRANEO 800 was developed for testing the mechanical and electrical integrity of power transformers after transportation or exposure to high fault currents. It uses the SFRA principle (Sweep Frequency Response Analysis) and measures the electrical transfer function over a wide range of frequencies.
FRANEO 800 detects winding defects and faults in the magnetic core – thereby helping to improve transformer reliability, reduce maintenance costs and prevent expensive failures.
The MEGGER DUCTER DLRO10 and DUCTER DLRO10X bring new standards to low resistance measurement. Both are fully automatic instruments, selecting the most suitable test current, up to 10 A dc to measure resistance from 0.1 µΩ to 2000 Ω on one of seven ranges. For users who desire more control over the measurement process, DLRO 10X uses a menu system controlled by a two-axis paddle to allow manual selection of the test current. DLRO10X also adds real-time download of results and on-board storage for later download to a PC.
Megger DLRO600 measures resistances between 0.1 µohms and 1 µohms, at high currents. This versatile instrument can provide test currents from 10 amps up to 600 amps subject to the load resistance and supply voltage. A large liquid crystal display provides all the information needed to perform a test; all test parameters and measurement results are displayed. The unique design allows the weight and size of DLRO600 to be kept to a minimum; the instrument weighs less than 33 lbs (15kg). This small size makes DLRO600 equally at home in the workshop, on the production floor or in the field. The high current capability and compact design make DLRO600 suitable for testing circuit breaker contacts, switch contacts, busbar joints or other applications where high current is needed.
Offering CAT IV, the MIT515 is the simplest of Megger’s new range of small light 5 kV insulation resistance testers for the testing and maintenance of high voltage electrical equipment. Enclosed in a tough case it is both smaller and lighter than its predecessor making it even easier to carry and store.
Now equipped with lithium ion fast rechargeable batteries, the instrument has a large, clear, easy to read, display making it equally suitable for use in both bright sunlight and poorly lit environments. Information displayed includes resistance, voltage, leakage current, capacitance, battery status and time constant. In addition, the elapsed time of the test is displayed constantly removing the need for separate timer.
The M5200 uses Sweep Frequency Response Analysis, a proven technique for making accurate and repeatable measurements. Pioneered by Doble the sweep approach has become the industry standard and is the preferred method for making frequency domain measurements. Here’s how SFRA works: The M5200 sends an excitation signal into the transformer and measures the returning signals across a broad frequency range. By comparing this response to baseline and other results (such as from similar units), you can identify deviations and confirm internal
mechanical problems.
The M4100 is the industry standard for power apparatus and insulation testing. Its unique combination of test capabilities and artificial intelligence analysis software makes it the power industry’s most trusted Power Factor/Tan-Delta instrument.
The M4100 instruments are used around the globe thanks to their comprehensive testing options, safety features and measurement accuracy.
Testing is simple and accurate with the M4100 and Doble Test Assistant (DTA) software. You can then analyze your test results with the help of FRANK™, the First Response Analytics Knowledgebase, which provides clear recommendations and explanations.
The Doble TDR9100 is a state-of-the-art circuit breaker test set for testing all types of circuit breakers with efficient and accurate performance measurements.
The TDR9100 provides measurements for main contact timing, circuit breaker motion analysis, resistance and capacitance with the flexibility to double or triple your usable channels.
Use this inclusive, rugged and field-portable instrument for simple and complex testing of circuit breakers.
The TDR9100 controls circuit breaker trip and close commands and supports the following operations: Trip (O), Close (C), Reclose (O-0.3s-C), Tripfree (CO), O-CO, O-0.3s-CO, First Trip (O), Slow Close (C).
The TTR300 Series of three-phase transformer turns ratio test sets are designed to measure the turns ratio of power, instrument, and distribution transformers in a substation or manufacturing environment. A rugged and robust design makes these instruments well suited for use in a variety of harsh environments. Our leads are specially designed to provide the necessary flexibility needed in cold weather.
The TTR300 Series are ideal for use by power transformer manufacturers. Their unique testing procedures and storage capability allows an operator to set up and test difficult three-phase transformers (with multiple tap changers and bushing CTs) in a fraction of the time than it used to take with other TTRs. This test also includes a pass/fail limit of individual ratios.

We offer the following Vacuum & Oil services:
Oil Samples can include the following:
The term “moisture” in the transformer industry is commonly used to indicate water which is absorbed in the paper or dissolved in the oil. Occasionally, the terms “water” or “water content” are used as an alternative way to describe the same substance.
Water in transformers can be found in different parts of the insulation system. It can accumulate in solid insulation, be dissolved in oil, or be found in the form of liquid water at the core or bottom of a transformer.
If it has been determined that a transformer has an excessive moisture content, either through water-in-oil analysis or dew-point analysis, the transformer should be dried out. Otherwise, the presence of moisture in the kraft paper will definitely shorten the life due to chemical decomposition through oxidation of the cellulose.
Present and future transformer ratings require high quality and high purity insulating oils at the point of use. The increasing voltage and rating of the modern transformer and electrical apparatus results in greater electrical stress in insulating material and fluids. To handle these greater stresses, oils with better dielectric qualities are required. Also lower residual water content in insulating fluids and material must be maintained. The proper treatment and upgrading of the insulating fluid will result in the improvement of the properties of the entire insulating media of power transformers. The principal functions of the insulating fluid are to serve as a dielectric material and as an effective coolant. To perform these functions, the insulating fluid must have the necessary qualities at the time of initial impregnation and filling at the factory and later maintain the same quality in the field operation. High Vacuum Process upgrades the new or used electrical insulating fluids including transformer oils, polybutenes and silicone fluids. These systems and equipment were developed as a result of 50 years of experience in vacuum treatment of electric insulating fluids.

A Large Power Transformer is a large, custom-built piece of equipment that is a critical component of the bulk transmission grid. Because LPTs are very expensive and tailored to customers’ specifications, they are usually neither interchangeable with each other nor produced for extensive spare inventories.
Although LPTs come in a wide variety of sizes and configurations, they consist of two main active parts:
Two basic configurations of core and windings exist: the core form and the shell form. In the usual shell-type power transformer, both primary and secondary are on one leg and are surrounded by the core, whereas in a core-type power transformer, cylindrical windings cover the core legs. Shell form LPTs typically use more electrical steel for the core and are more resilient to short-circuit in the transmission systems and are frequently used in industrial applications.
Other parts include transformer bushings, which connect LPTs to transmission lines, as well as tap changers, power cable connectors, gas-operated relays, thermometers, relief devices, dehydrating breathers, oil level indicators, and other controls.
Power transformer costs and pricing vary by manufacturer, by market condition, and by location of the manufacturing facility.

Our experienced teams offer a range of Substation services and assistance in the following areas:
An electrical substation is an assemblage of electrical components including busbars, switchgear, power transformers, auxiliaries etc. These components are connected in a definite sequence such that a Circuit. can be switched off during normal operation by manual command and also automatically during abnormal conditions such as short-Circuit.
Basically an electrical substation consists of number of incoming Circuits and outgoing Circuits. connected to a common Bus-bar systems. A substation receives electrical power from generating station via incoming transmission lines and delivers electrical power via the outgoing transmission lines.

Sulfur Hexafluoride (SF6) is widely used in the electric industry. It is a very stable molecule, which makes it superior to other previously used mediums due to its insulation properties, dielectric strength, and arc quenching abilities. In short, the technical and economic performance realized by electrical equipment manufactures and electrical utilities using SF6 is unmatched.
A large percentage of the SF6 being used today is in closed system applications. As long as the SF6 remains within the closed system no emissions to the atmosphere will occur. However, in reality some SF6 will be emitted during the systems life cycle, so the emphasis is to minimize the amount of SF6 released.
